Hisham Sarwar is a Pakistani freelancer, digital marketing consultant and educator, and the founder of BeingGuru. Hisham Sarwar is a Pakistani freelancer, digital marketing consultant and educator based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. He is the founder of BeingGuru (2016), the chief executive of Innovista and Infomist Services, and the co-founder of WorkChest, Pakistan's first freelance marketplace.
Early life and education
He began freelancing in 2007 after leaving a job with a US company, working through Guru.com, Fiverr and Upwork. He was ranked among Guru.com's top 10 providers globally and spent 11 months in the Guru.com Hall of Fame — the only Pakistani to do so (per a 2023 profile). He holds an MBA in Marketing from Al-Khair University (Azad Jammu and Kashmir) (1996–1998).
Sarwar founded BeingGuru in 2016 and the learning platforms LearnEasy.pk and Asaani.pk, as well as the initiatives InnoTalent, InnoCollab and Freelance Hero Pakistan. He is the lead trainer and the public face of DigiSkills.pk, the Government of Pakistan's online training programme, where he has trained more than 2 million freelancers (as reported).
